We price intentionally, move inventory quickly, and handle the details — so you can feel confident bringing your items in.
How Selling Works
- Bring in clean, gently used seasonal clothing — no appointments and no limits
- Our team reviews items for quality and seasonality
- Accepted items are queued, priced, tagged, and added to the floor in the order they are received
- Most items sell within about 60 days, though some may take longer depending on style and demand
- You earn 40%, 50%, or 60% depending on the sale price when items sell
Details and Policies for Consigning with Dannie Duluth
— Preparing your Items —
- Start by decluttering your spaces and reviewing your items for the season in which they would primarily be worn. We accept clothing based on seasons—either Spring/Summer or Fall/Winter—so it’s important to bring items during the appropriate accepting periods.
- Ensure the quality of your items. We only accept pieces in very good condition; no signs of wear and tear, damage, pilling, stains, odors, or faded colors. If your items are high quality, there is no limit on how many you can bring. We can handle high count drop-offs!
- Make sure all clothing has been cleaned before bringing in, and place them on hangers you don’t need returned. We send you home with comparable hangers, but the original hangers will remain with the store unless you want to exchange them while in-store. Hang tops normally, fold pants over hangers, and bring shoes, purses, and hats in bags or boxes.
- Check our Current Accepting Guide to confirm what types of items we are currently accepting. We do not require appointments, so simply visit the store during open hours and we’ll be ready to review your items.
— When you arrive at the store —
- We welcome new consignors all the time, so don’t worry, we are here to help. Locate the checkout desk, and a team member will guide you on what to do. Clothing racks are available next to the counter where you can place your hung items.
- A team member will review your items for seasonality and quality. While we review, feel free to browse the store and we’ll come find you when we’re finished.
- Please plan for about 5–10 minutes per drop-off for review.
- If some items aren’t a fit due to seasonality or condition, we’ll set them aside for you to take home.
— After Dannie Duluth accepts your items —
- We handle all pricing using our self-developed pricing application. As a data-driven business, we carefully research unique items to ensure fair and accurate pricing. It may take 1-2 weeks depending on our backlog for items to be inventoried.
- Our goal is to price items to sell at full value within the first 30 days. Items that do not sell within that period are marked down by 50% for an additional 30 days. Then items that have not sold within the first 60 days are marked down to 75% off for an additional 30 days. For high value designer and premium items we may use the extended markdown schedule that in 30 day periods if it hadn't sold at full price would markdown to 25% Off, 50% Off, then 75% Off.
- Consignors earn 40% of the selling price. For items sold over $30, consignors receive 50% of the selling price. For items sold over $200 consignors receive 60% of the selling price.
- Earnings accumulate in your account, and we process checks for balances over $21 on the 1st and 15th of each month. Checks are mailed to consignors, though consignors may also choose to leave their balance as store credit. Accounts under $21 can always be used in-store as store credit or applied toward new consignments.

We’re now accepting Fall & Winter items at both Dannie Duluth Consignment locations! We will continue accepting this season through December.
Please bring clothing on basic hangers to help speed up the acceptance process.
Before dropping off, please inspect your items. We are unable to accept items with stains, odors, excessive wear, peeling leather, holes, damaged footwear, or other noticeable flaws.
