Evolution of Dannie Duluth

Dannie Duluth began as a dream in 1999, when Dannie arrived in Duluth with a U-Haul full of clothing and found a storefront on the corner of 4th Street and 10th Avenue East. She knew it was perfect — and more than 25 years later, we’re still here.

What started as a small consignment shop has grown into a 3,600+ square-foot store holding over 12,000 items at a time, supported by a community of more than 11,000 consignors who have trusted us with their clothing over the years.

In April 2025, Natalie Anderson took ownership of Dannie Duluth, bringing a fresh perspective while staying deeply rooted in the values that have always defined the store: sustainability, community-driven consignment, and high-quality, affordable clothing. Today, there is a renewed focus on the in-store experience, along with thoughtful modernization of workflows to better serve both consignors and shoppers.

Mission and Impact

The interlocking chain-link design of our logo represents what makes Dannie Duluth work: connection. The links reflect our consignors and customers — inseparable in our mission and equally important to the health of our store.

We are a data-driven business, not simply to only measure performance, but to ensure we are serving our community well. We use insight and intention to create a system where everyone benefits — consignors, shoppers, and the community alike.

Each year, we help rehome over 45,000 items, keeping high-quality clothing items circulating locally and out of landfills. Throughout the year, we also donate many items to organizations that provide for folks in need within our community.

Most items in our store are priced between $5–$10, making fashion accessible while allowing items to sell quickly — often within 45 days. With new items arriving daily, the floor is always changing, and no two visits are ever quite the same.
